This soft and delicate birdcage wedding veil is hand-sewn in our atelier from luxury ivory fine French netting and is available with a clever clip option to help you easily position your veil in seconds.
The birdcage veil comes in two lengths and is available with or without a tiny clip to help you easily position your veil - perfect for use with a headband, crown, tiara, or to wear the veil on its own.
If you plan to wear a bridal hair comb, choose the veil option without a clip as the comb will hold the veil in place perfectly and a clip could stop the teeth of your comb sitting fully in your hair.
A birdcage veil is supremely versatile - the perfect finishing touch for a chic modern bride or a retro or vintage-inspired look. It's a lovely and unusual way to wear a wedding veil and is the perfect addition to a side headband or off-
Clip it in off centre for to wear with a comb or side tiara headband - or place it in the centre of your head to wear it with a padded headband or crown.
The first two images show the short veil styled with one of my Astra hairpins while the second two images show it pictured with the Angelica gold embellished ivory padded headband. You can also see the standard length veil styled with my Arabella silver deco headband.
Made of high quality super-
- Short (first six images) measures 15 inches by 8 inches and sits above the nose
- Standard (last two images) 15 inches wide by 9 inches and sits over the nose
I supply this veil with kirby grips which you can use you to pin the piece into place or shape it as you like.

Made to order lead times:
Every accessory is made to order within 2-3 weeks in our Sheffield studio. You can upgrade to a rush order to reduce the lead time before dispatch to one week. For extremely urgent orders please contact us - we will always do our best to accommodate you. UK orders are dispatched by next day delivery. International orders can be upgraded to rush courier shipping at checkout.

Customers outside the UK (including in the European Union) may be asked to pay a fee to receive their parcel as determined by customs in the destination country. The recipient is responsible for any taxes and duties due.
Safety Information
Keep away from children and pets. Keep packaging and fabric components away from naked flames. Handle with care, especially delicate chains and wire accessories, which can bend, break, or become sharp under pressure. Small parts may pose a choking hazard, and ribbons, garters, or necklaces could pose a strangulation risk.
Metal Allergies
- Earring posts/hooks are plated with gold, rose gold, silver or sterling silver, and some are fully silver, sterling silver or gold-filled. Hand-wired jewellery uses jeweller’s copper wire with similar plating. Crystal settings may also be rhodium-plated for durability. Only allowable trace elements of nickel that comply with EU regulations may be present.
- If you have metal allergies to any of the above elements contact us to discuss. We can usually offer alternative elements like solid gold earring posts or necklace chains on a bespoke basis.
Usage Guidelines
- Remove accessories before sleeping, bathing, or strenuous activities.
- Avoid direct contact with perfumes, chemicals, lotions, and hair products. Apply sprays before wearing accessories.
- Accessories are for decorative use only and not designed to secure hairstyles, especially for thick hair.
- Earrings are designed only for pierced ears; not suitable for other areas of the body. Do not push butterfly backs too tightly, as they could embed in the earlobe.
Care Instructions
- Clean gently with a dry, soft cloth. Use the polishing cloth enclosed with jewellery only on metal parts.
- Store in the provided packaging in a dry, moisture-free environment.
- Take care with delicate fabrics to avoid snagging on metal elements like prong settings.
- Do not pull, tug or twist any elements of your accessory and handle delicate pieces with care.
