I'm so excited to be able to share my new Stardust collection of wedding hair accessories with you today - a sparkling treasure trove of jewelled pieces inspired by the starry night sky and the wild beauty of the natural world.
The 2019 Stardust collection features hairvines, pins and combs ranging from simple designs to spectacularly intricate pieces - with styles to suit every bridal look from classic to contemporary, bohemian to red carpet, modern to vintage.
There are simple combs and pins with a classic elegant Hollywood feel, delicate sparkling hairvines and pins designed to curve into and around a low bun, updo or half updo - and intricate woven styles which can be worn as vines pinned into the back or side of the head or tied or pinned into tiara position as a beautiful striking bridal crown.
I've also introduced some new super-long hair vines which I've created in a special 'Y' shape which are designed to be pinned on each side of the head with the central long section weaving over or through a plait, updo, ponytail or simply pinned into long loose hair.
I especially love my new Elise hairvine - a waterfall effect jewelled veil which sees freshwater pearls tumbling over the hair for a dramatic but extremely delicate bridal look. This piece is packed with pearls and sits on silver wire - although you could request this piece to be made in gold or rose gold wire, or with luxury high lustre clear sparkling crystals as a bepoke option.
I'm especially excited about some of the new crystal styles and colourways we've introduced for the very first time with the new collection. We have simple hairvine headbands and pins featuring super-sparkling star shaped crystals which will add a touch delicate contemporary sparkle to your look. The star hairpins are extremely versatile and can be dotted through a plait or updo and are a gorgeous choice for a bride or bridesmaid.
Possibly my favourite new addition are the luminescent luxury opal crystals you can find in my Nova and Lyra pins as well as the supremely elegant Luna comb. The opals are a gorgeous opaque white stone with blue/green shimmering tones which bring to mind gently sparkling distant galaxies and are an unusual and quite contemporary option. I've used these in classic almost vintage-style designs which create a timeless modern look.
I've also added delicate light gold crystals which can be found in the Nova and Lyra pins. The opal stones are set in silver while the gold crystals come in a gold setting. All the designs also come in sparkling clear crystals in your choice of gold, silver or rose gold settings.
Both the opal and light gold crystals can be used in other designs - or in different settings - on request as bespoke options (see image below for a bespoke topaz Nova hairpins trio set example). And if you have your own idea for coloured crystals we can also offer these as a bespoke option for a truly unique design - maybe to tone with jewels on your gown, shoes or earrings - or maybe as your something blue.
This collection continues my long-standing love affair with the outdoors which has always inspired my work – and includes some beautiful new floral pieces to complement my existing best-selling mother of pearl and crystal designs. These include a smaller version of one my most popular floral designs ever - the Sylvie - which is perfect for brides who love the look of this delicate piece but would like something a little more simple.
I've also added some super simple small vines which are designed to sit into or over an updo or half up do and are the perfect choice for brides who want just a little sparkle or shimmer on their wedding day.
Most of the pieces in this collection are available in gold, silver or rose gold as standard - and bespoke colourways are always available on request. For bespoke crystals and settings we recommend getting in touch a couple of months before you need your headpiece as some more unusual colourways have to be ordered in advance from Swarovksi.
You can view the full Stardust 2019 collection on our online shop now - or contact us to book a free consultation to see and try the pieces in person at the Debbie Carlisle studios in Sheffield.
